Biography

Prof. Dr. Somchai Phagaphasvivat, was an Assistant Professor, Faculty of Political Science Thammasart University since 1997. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phagaphasvivat was Faculty in MBA, EX-MBA and MINI-MBA Course at Thammasart University, Chulalongkorn University, National Institution of Development Administration(NIDA) and Others.

His professional experience includes: Senator and Vice-Rector, Development Planning, Thammasat University, an Advisor of The Stock Exchange of Thailand and United Nations Economics and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). He has been the Chairman of Seafco Public Company Limited since May 14, 2013. He serves as the Chairman of Thanapat Property Development Public Company Limited. He has been an Independent Director of Amarin Printing & Publishing Public Co. Ltd. since 1996.

He has been an Independent Director of Lee Feed Mill Public Company Limited since 1994. He has been a Director of The Krungthep Thanakom Company Limited and Thai Hua Rubber Public Company Limited, since 1997. He serves as an Independent Director of Thanachart Bank Public Company Limited. He serves as a Director of Lee Feed Mill Company Limited and Starprint Public Company Limited.

He has been an Independent Director of Seafco Public Company Limited since March 18, 2004. He served as an Independent Director of Siam City Bank Public Co. Ltd from 2010 to 2011. He served as an Independent Director of Yuasa Battery Thailand Public Company Ltd. until February 2006.

He studied Doctorate Degree in International Economics, University of Nance, France, Doctorate degree in Political Science, University of Madrid, Spain. Assoc. He holds B.A., Chulalongkorn University., M.A. in International Economics, University of Nancy, France and also B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Political Science, University of Madrid, Spain. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phagaphasvivat's Directorship and executive training program(s) Thai Institute of Directors Association: Director Accreditation Program (DAP), Class 34/2005.
