Jaran Maluleem


Dr.Maluleem is a Lecturer on the Middle East, South Asia, and Muslim affairs at the Department of International Relations, Thammasat University, Bangkok.

He is an author of many books as well as translation works. He also holds several other positions including Head of the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Political Science and Head of the Department of Indian Studies, Pridi Bhanomyoung International College, Thammasat University,  Member Board of Directors of the Islamic Bank of Thailand. He is also, Advisor to the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand; and Researcher at the Thailand Research Fund.

He has also served as an Advisor to the Prime Minister of Thailand from 2002-2005; Advisor on Foreign Affairs in the House of the Senate from 2002-2007  Thailand; and the Chairman of Islamic Affairs, Government House from 22002-2005; A member of independent investigation committee for Krue Se mosque and Takbai incident (2004). 

Additionally, Dr.Maluleem is an active journalist. He is a columnist on current international affairs and Muslim perspectives with the Matichon Weekly. Director of the Al-Hidayah (Islamic Guidance Post); director and host of the television programme “Ramadan Night’; and host of the radio programme “999” (on international affairs and Muslim perspectives).

At the MIC he teaches at the module on Business, Markets, and Human Resources.
